Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control systems, processes, and standards for solar installations, components (panels, inverters, batteries, etc.), and services.
  • Define inspection criteria and protocols to ensure the quality and efficiency of solar energy systems throughout their lifecycle.
  • Establish quality benchmarks in line with industry standards (e.g., IEC, ISO) and ensure compliance with local, national, and international codes and regulations.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections of on-site solar installations, ensuring compliance with design specifications, electrical standards, and performance requirements.
  • Oversee the testing of solar panels, inverters, energy storage systems, and associated components for functionality, durability, and efficiency.
  • Develop and refine testing protocols for performance monitoring, energy output, and safety, ensuring systems are performing optimally over time.
  • Investigate and address any product or installation failures, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Evaluate and audit suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components used in solar energy systems.
  • Monitor and review vendor quality control processes, ensuring they align with company standards and certifications.
  • Ensure all solar installations and products comply with relevant safety standards, certifications, and environmental guidelines (e.g., NEC, OSHA, UL certifications).
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections, tests, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
  • Manage the documentation and reporting of all quality control activities to both internal teams and regulatory bodies when required.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced certifications in quality control or quality management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.) are highly preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles, with a focus on solar energy, renewable energy, or electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in managing quality control processes, inspections, and audits in the solar or energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of solar photovoltaic systems, including installation practices, electrical standards, and component testing.
