Account Directors produce high quality advisory documents demonstrating a deep understanding of clients and issues. You will be regularly providing advice and analysis to clients, and developing an advisory voice informed by research, experience and awareness of market trends and events. You will manage some key workstreams as well as guiding executives and assistants on the account.


As an Account Director, you will also begin to develop a network and build relationships with clients, government, media, advisers, Brunswick colleagues and other stakeholders. You will work to develop your public affairs and media-handling skills and have a good understanding of Brunswick’s different sectors and specialist offers and how to connect them with clients as part of our one firm offering.

Brunswick set up its India practice in 2013, based in Mumbai but with a capability to service clients throughout the country. We advise international clients new to India, as well as those already in the subcontinent. And we support Indian companies expanding globally - either through acquisitions or capital markets – and on business critical issues they face within and outside of India. We do this with the support of sector specialists spread across the 18 countries that host a Brunswick practice.

Our India team comprises experts in domestic public affairs, corporate communications and research, underpinning our ability to provide informed corporate relations counsel on a complex range of issues and events such as crisis and litigation, as well as market entry, expansion and engagement.


Our India Leadership Team Includes: Rob Pinker, Chair, Emerging Markets; Khozem Merchant, Partner, Head of India; Vikram Limaye, Senior Advisor; Muneeb Ansari, Director and Pavan Lall, Director.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct research and deliver analysis to clients, with intelligent insight and recommendations informed by data, analysis and experience.
  • Manage the development of high-quality client documents, playing a key role in drafting, proofing, editing and version control, along with seamless project management of client workstreams.
  • Guide junior colleagues in effectively supporting accounts.
  • Work to develop a solid understanding of different sectors and specialist offers.
  • Ensure all logistics for client meetings and events are executed smoothly and manage upwards to ensure Brunswick delivers on time and above expectation.
  • Begin to develop an advisory voice informed by research, experience and awareness of market trends and events.
  • Nurture a network amongst peers inside and outside the firm, providing valuable insight for the firm and for clients.


Knowlesge, Skills, and Competencies


Highly knowledgeable on business issues and current affairs; up to date on key trends, issues, commentators and debates, particularly as it relates to organizations.

  • 3 - 6 years’ of relevant work experience; IR, public affairs, corporate communications or OR in-house experience in the communications function of a business.
  • A good understanding of the media landscape
  • Able to demonstrate excellent written research and analysis for business audiences; must be able to synthesize large amounts of intelligence across numerous sources in a timely but thoughtful manner.
  • Proven project and/or program management experience, with the ability to oversee multiple fast-moving workstreams at any one time.
  • A dynamic self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • High level of attention to detail and an intellectually rigorous, client-service attitude.
  • An experienced team-worker who prefers to work in a collegiate way.
