Desktop Support Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end-user device management, demonstrating proficiency in addressing hardware, operating system, and software issues for computer systems.
Responsibilities:
End User Device Management:
- Resolve hardware, operating system, and software issues for computer systems.
- Provide support for office applications, basic business tools, and authentication via Active Directory.
- Understand Windows Server OS 2016, 2019, and 2022.
- Manage network configurations (LAN, Internet, VPN, IP/Soft Phones).
- Configure client-side security settings (Firewall, Antivirus, DLP, VPN).
- Support configurations for peripherals (printers, scanners).
- Perform scheduled proactive activities and patching support.
- Configure and support client-side backup solutions.
- Provide OS support for Windows (especially Windows 10 & 11), Linux, and MAC OS.
- Coordinate with different OEM/vendors for configuration, management, and maintenance.
- Support application infrastructure on the client side (Email, Office).
- Maintain a definitive library for OS, applications, product guides, device firmware, etc.
- Update and maintain configuration documents.
- Manage assets, software licenses, and subscriptions.
- Maintain SLAs and ensure timely escalations.
- Report all incident/service/change requests in the helpdesk tool.
- Provide after-hours support for emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.
Co-ordination with Remote Team:
- Administer physical & virtual servers and perform scheduled activities.
- Manage storage and backup operations.
- Handle firewall, IPsec, and SSL VPN management.
- Oversee switching and wireless infrastructure.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Proven experience as a computer technician or similar role
• Exceptional organizing and time management skills
• Very good communication abilities
• Windows 10 & 11 operating system management skills
• Linux OS management skill
• MAC OS management skill
• LAN – Wired & Wireless network management.
• Reporting
• Basic understanding about IP Phone (VOIP)
