Job Description:
Medanta, Gurgaon is seeking a Manager for Category Management in our Retail Pharmacy division with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and optimizing the product portfolio across our pharmacy outlets. This role focuses on overseeing the selection, pricing, and inventory management of various product categories, including FMCG, health and wellness goods, and nutrition OTC products, ensuring they meet both customer needs and business goals.
Job Requirements:
- Oversee the selection and management of products within assigned categories, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive mix.
- Manage the introduction of new products and the phase-out of discontinued items effectively.
- Optimize inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocks by collaborating with procurement and logistics teams for timely replenishment.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets, while monitoring and analyzing their effectiveness.
- Plan and execute promotional events, discounts, and marketing campaigns to drive sales and enhance brand visibility.
- Track and analyze performance metrics including sales, margins, and market share to inform category strategies.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to enhance the customer experience and ensure all products meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on category performance and strategic recommendations.
Skills:
- Strong expertise in category management, product selection, and inventory optimization.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing pricing strategies.
- Experience in planning and executing promotional campaigns.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and market trends.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Familiarity with FMCG, health and wellness products, and nutrition OTC items.
