The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for managing sales operations within a designated geographic area, ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, building and maintaining relationships with key clients, and managing a team of sales representatives. The RSM will also be responsible for analyzing market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and providing feedback to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the company's customer base.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
- Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives.
- Set individual sales targets with the sales team.
- Monitor the performance of the sales team and motivate them to achieve their targets.
- Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Handle customer complaints and provide solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular client visits to ensure continued business and explore new opportunities.
- Sales Operations:
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and other performance data to senior management.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage sales budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to understand competitive landscape and market dynamics.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales and profitability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager, or similar senior sales role in the IT industry.
- Strong understanding of the IT market and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a sales team.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required.
