Position Overview
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets through strategic customer engagement and market penetration. This position will cover both Chennai and Cotchin. This role involves networking, relationship building, and ensuring that sales plans are executed effectively to meet the company's growth and profitability objectives. The Area Sales Manager will work closely with the sales and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and will be responsible for generating regular business reports and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Target Achievement:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve the targets set by superiors.
- Identify and engage with key customers, conducting thorough analysis to develop action plans that turn potential into actual sales.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Provide comprehensive support to customers in all aspects of concrete product development to ensure customer retention.
- Payment Collection:
- Ensure timely collection of payments from targeted markets.
- Monitor and ensure that sales efforts result in acceptable profit levels in line with the budget.
- Market Penetration:
- Improve market and customer penetration as per the business plan.
- Take responsibility for sales and marketing of DCP products to target customers and markets, as delegated by superiors.
- Technical Know-How:
- Ensure that concrete product knowledge is effectively applied within the company and across the sales and service organization.
- Assist in achieving standardization of the product portfolio and delivering optimal customer value in an economical way.
- Reporting:
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.
- Provide relevant business data and insights as instructed by superiors.
- Special Tasks:
- Perform and supervise any special tasks as needed by the company, following instructions from superiors.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales within the construction industry.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing business reports.
- Good command of English and excellent communication skills.
