Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our finance and accounting team for our US-based Outdoor Gear retail businesses. This is an offshore position, requiring a deep understanding of US financial regulations. The role involves ensuring accurate financial data entry into QuickBooks, preparing financial statements, managing cash flow, and ensuring tax compliance with US GAAP standards. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department for US-based businesses from an offshore location in India. 
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported in accordance with US GAAP. 
  • Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. 
  • Work closely with the management team to prepare monthly and annual financial plans. 
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce accurate, timely financial reports and statements. 
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts; recommend benchmarks for measuring performance. 
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations for taxation and financial reporting, including US GAAP and tax compliance. 
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process. 
  • Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, and other matters with management and financial implications. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred. 
  • Proven experience in finance management, particularly within a retail or e-commerce environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial principles, US GAAP, and tax laws. 
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills. 
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
