We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and manage key accounting operations, including financial reporting, compliance, and analysis. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in accounting principles, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to mentor junior team members while working collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Prepare and review accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes and reconciliations.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with tax filings, including VAT, GST, and corporate tax returns.
  • Conduct variance analyses and provide insights on financial trends and performance.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during audits, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts in collaboration with department heads.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance, training, and supervision to junior accounting staff.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial processes and systems.
  • Participate in strategic decision-making by providing financial expertise and recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Tally) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
