Job Responsibilities:

Communication

Collaborates with Sourcing, Quality Team & Product Development Team (PD) to ensure that first time right Fit submissions are done as per T&A and help to elevate vendors to understand the fit requirements of TJX.

Understands decision making is participatory and uses experience and other’s knowledge to make informed decisions.

Effective communication with internal team and vendors with continuous follow up of samples– approvals, rejections, and due dates

Establishes, regular and effective communication channels with the PD, Merchant team as well as Vendor community - Communicates recommendations and approvals to PD Buyers, Vendors, Quality and MM’s when necessary.

Merchandise

Lead and drive with overseas buyers/ PD teams to align on key strategies and to always deliver fit and TOP approvals, as per required timelines.

Able to work with responsibility and accountability within the set parameters- supported and supervised by AVP Director of Quality. Escalate as necessary in a timely manner.

Consistent drive to establish clear guidelines on fit expectations with vendors to reduce fit iterations and maximize fit approvals in line with TNA.

Drive with vendors to ensure right TJX dress forms are used for fitting samples for minimum errors. Always train vendor team members to align with TJX review and measuring standards.

Liaises with Sourcing, PD and Buyers in the review process of fit blocks, fit samples & TOPs.

Follow up on action on fit, quality and value issues - act as needed.

Manage team to ensure all necessary tasks and duties are completed on time.

Become knowledgeable of all CPSC, CPSIA, FTC, FDA, State and Corporate/Global regulations, policies and procedures, ensure all regulations are followed.

Market travel as necessary

Administrative

Maintains fit tracking spreadsheets. Process and organize daily receipt of samples - document styles received back to tracking spreadsheet.

General office duties including but not limited to filing, purging old files, purging old samples, donations to charities, organizing samples.

Special projects as assigned or directed based off business need.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Technical Knowledge of Apparel about Fit, Fabrication, Specification details

8-10 years Merchandising, and/or Technical Design

Strong Communication Skills

Strong organization skills and follow through skills PC skills including Excel and Microsoft Word Works well in a team environment.

Ability to handle multiple projects.

Good eye for workmanship, color, design, and fit detail

Ability to reset priorities as necessary.
