Overview:The Sales andExport Documentation Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring thesmooth and compliant movement of goods across internationalborders. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of exportoperations and managing the documentation process to ensure legaland regulatory compliance.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Developing andimplementing export strategies andplans.
  • Overseeing the preparation andverification of export documentation such as commercial invoicespacking lists and certificates oforigin.
  • Ensuring compliance with exportregulations and international tradelaws.
  • Coordinating with freight forwarderscarriers and customs brokers to arrange shipment ofgoods.
  • Conducting risk assessments andimplementing risk mitigation measures related to exportactivities.
  • Managing export licenses andpermits.
  • Monitoring and optimizing exportfreight costs and transportationmodes.
  • Negotiating terms and contracts withlogistics service providers.
  • Providing guidanceand support to internal teams on exportrelatedmatters.
  • Resolving any issues or delays in theexport process.
  • Keeping abreast of changes inexport regulations and tradeagreements.
  • Collaborating with finance andaccounting teams for exportrelated transactions anddocumentation.
  • Participating in continuousprocess improvement initiatives for exportoperations.
  • Ensuring accurate and timelyrecordkeeping of export documentation.
  • Managingand developing a team of export and documentationprofessionals.
RequiredQualifications:
  • Bachelors degree ininternational business logistics or a relatedfield.
  • Proven experience in export managementand documentation preferably in a managerialrole.
  • Deep understanding of export regulationscompliance requirements and customsprocedures.
  • Strong knowledge of internationalshipping INCO terms and export documentationstandards.
  • Excellent negotiation andcommunication skills.
  • Ability to analyzecomplex export issues and implement effectivesolutions.
  • Proficiency in using exportdocumentation software and Microsoft Officeapplications.
  • Detailoriented and organized witha focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Strongleadership and team managementabilities.
  • Capability to work under pressureand meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity withtrade finance and international paymentmethods.
  • Certification in export management orlogistics is a plus.
  • Fluency in a secondlanguage particularly relevant to the organizations export marketsis advantageous.
  • Understanding of supply chainand logistics principles.
  • Ability to adapt tochanges in global trade and regulatoryenvironments.
