The Role:
Trading and pricing for all crude vegetable oils for ADM Distribution Marketing (DM) in India.
ADM trades several oils around the world, some of them being rape oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil, palm oil, peanut oil and corn oil. Each oil has its own trading peculiarities and it’s important to develop a deep understanding of all vegetable oils.
This position will manage trading functions of Vegetable Oils for ADM INDIA, destination marketing distribution, develop new and maintain existing customers, manage CNF Sales, manage commodity risk, logistics and supply/demand analysis.
Your Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP of Global Trade Oils in Switzerland. The position will have a dotted line to the Managing Director of ADM INDIA, in Gurgaon, India, the incumbent will be responsible for: Trading of all ADM vegetable oils in bulk for ADM into India, DM and CNF sales for ADMI; Responsible for the P&L of ADM INDIA DM OILS. Maintain, improve and develop our customer relationships in the country. Develop Destination Marketing for Vegetable Oils in India ( in country sales, import/distribution), manage logistics pipeline, inventory, forecast of sales and FX hedging; Explore potential partner and business opportunities in this market. Responsible for maintaining Veg Oils S&Ds for India. Utilizing knowledge of Vegetable Oil flows and Global S&D`s in order to efficiently move ADM into this market. Utilizing experience in commodity markets, positioning, hedging/selling recommendations to customers. Managing credit, legal issues and processing aspects of ADM’s vegetable oil business. Communicating market developments and coordination to/with ADM teams both at local level and globally through analysis, support preparation of market reports; Negotiating and obtaining the best value for ADM`s vegetable oils into these markets. Your Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following: University degree, preferably with economic background. 10-12 years commercial experience, preferably including trading and logistics in agricultural commodities. Excellent understanding of pricing mechanisms as well as the relationship between worldwide supply and demand, and the pricing of agricultural commodities, specifically vegetable oils. In depth knowledge of the freight spreads necessary to move vegetable oil products from origin to destination markets. Previous experience of Vegetable Oil trading would be highly recommended. Analytical, creative, objective team player. Strong ability to communicate and collaborate within a multi-cultural and cross-functional setting. Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel. Excellent contract negotiation skills.
