About theRole
Weare seeking a passionate and creative Open Innovation Specialist tojoin our R&D team and drive the discovery and integrationof cuttingedge food ingredients. In this role you will beresponsible for developing and executing an open innovationstrategy to source novel ingredients and technologies that alignwith our product development goals and consumertrends.
Responsibilities:
Proactivelyidentify and source new food ingredient technologies and solutionsfrom startups universities and researchinstitutions.Develop and manage a network ofexternal partners in the food innovationecosystem.Evaluate the potential of newingredients and technologies through technical and marketfeasibility assessments.Lead negotiationsand manage partnerships for the acquisition and integration of newingredients.Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams (R&D Marketing Sales) to ensure successful adoptionof new ingredients within existing and future productlines.Stay current on emerging trends andinnovations in the food ingredientindustry.Develop and maintain a robust openinnovation process for sourcing evaluating and integrating newtechnologies.Prepare compellingpresentations and reports to communicate findings andrecommendations to seniormanagement.
Qualifications:
Minimumof 5 years of experience in the food industry with a focus oninnovation or research &development.Proven track record ofidentifying and evaluating new food ingredienttechnologies.Experience in managing externalpartnerships and collaborations.Excellentcommunication negotiation and presentationskills.Strong analytical and problemsolvingabilities.Indepth knowledge of current foodtrends and consumer preferences.A passionfor food and a strong desire to contribute to the development ofinnovative foodproducts.
PreferredQualifications:
Experienceworking in an open innovationenvironment.Advanced degree in Food ScienceAgriculture or a related field.Experiencewith technology scoutingmethodologies.Experience in the developmentand management of intellectualproperty.
