Inviting applications for the role of Business Analyst, Merchandising Analytics

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical professional with expertise in clearance execution, pricing analytics, and promotion performance analysis to join our Price & Promo Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging data and analytics to optimize clearance strategies, analyze markdown effectiveness, and drive pricing decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail merchandising analytics and a proven track record of delivering insights that impact business outcomes.

Responsibilities

·Analyze sales, inventory, and customer data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for merchandising optimization.

·Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the effectiveness of merchandising strategies.

·Conduct category and product-level analysis to identify top-performing and underperforming items, and provide recommendations for assortment planning and SKU rationalization.

·Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and finance, to develop and implement data-driven strategies to drive sales and profitability.

·Work closely with vendors and suppliers to gather data and insights to inform assortment planning, pricing, and promotion strategies.

·Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark performance, identify market trends, and uncover opportunities for differentiation.

·Utilize advanced analytics techniques, such as clustering and regression analysis, to segment customers, forecast demand, and optimize pricing and promotions.

·Develop and maintain predictive models for demand forecasting, inventory replenishment, and markdown optimization.

·Support the development and execution of promotional campaigns, including pre- and post-promotion analysis to evaluate performance and ROI.

·Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner, through presentations, reports, and dashboards.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

·Master’s in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

·Proven experience in retail analytics, with a focus on merchandising, inventory management, or related areas.

·Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) for manipulating and analyzing large datasets.

·Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for creating dashboards and reports.

·Strong understanding of retail merchandising principles, including assortment planning, pricing, and promotion strategies.

·Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques for analyzing and interpreting data.

·Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and insights to non-technical stakeholders.

·Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

·Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
