Reportingto the Technology Manager the Software Engineer will work withinternal and external developers responsible for the developmentand subsequent support of the various platform services componentsunderpinning all the customerfacing applications across Norstella.As part of a large technology group the Software Engineer will workwith product management architecture and other software engineeringteams in support of the product developmentroadmap.We are looking for an experiencedsoftware engineer with great communication skills deep experiencein software engineering and most importantly the ability andwillingness to keep learning in this everchanging technologylandscape.
Education:Minimum bachelor s degree in computer science andengineering or related field of study or equivalentexperience

KeyRequirements: 3 years ofsoftware engineering experience with a focus on serviceoriented andmicroservices architecture. 3 years ofprogramming experience with Ruby onRails. Expert understandingof foundational web technologies: HTMLCSS JavaScript (including frameworks and libraries such as jQueryand React) and AJAX. 2 years of handsonexperience with cloud technologies preferably AWS and familiaritywith services like S3 API Gateway and RDS.Proficiency in RESTful API design and API security frameworks witha strong emphasis on microservicesarchitecture. Advanced skills in maintainingand debugging live software systems. Strongcapabilities in code investigation analysis andreview. Experience with relational andnonrelational databases such as PostgreSQL DynamoDB and MySQL ishighly desirable. Knowledge of .NET is avaluable advantage. Solid understanding ofdata structures algorithms and core computer scienceprinciples. Indepth knowledge of code designprinciples. Experience with Agilemethodologies (Scrum Lean XP Kanban) for development anddelivery. Experience in thepharma/healthcare sector is a plus.Familiarity with TestDriven Development (TDD)processes. Proven experience with DevOpspractices including Terraform Serverless AWS CloudFormation CI/CDin AWS security groups autoscaling Git/GitHub monitoring and loganalytics.
