We are looking for Project Procurement Manager (BuyingProfessional)

You’ll make a difference by

Weare currently seeking an experienced Project Procurement Manager (BuyingProfessional) to work for Railway Electrification & Metro Segments Projectat our Gurgaon office.

·Definecommodity strategies for assigned spend considering any global sourcingstrategies and tailoring them to fit the local business requirements

·Prepareand conduct negotiations with suppliers for low to high purchasing volumes inorder to deliver the relevant savings for each category and increase thepayment terms conditions

·Implementand manage supplier contracts and agreements to meet the specific needs of thebusiness whilst ensuring service continuity and mitigating risk

·Interfacewith internal stakeholders to assess current and future sourcing requirements

·EnsureSiemens’ interests are represented in all competitive sourcing activitiesleading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, delivery, service andtechnology

·Driveproductivity initiatives within assigned commodities in order to maximizematerial cost savings

·Supportthe Supplier Qualification Process for new suppliers in partnership withSupplier Quality Management (SQM), Project managers and New Product Development(NPD)

·PerformSupplier Evaluations and drive Supplier Development Plans within the supplychain

·ProactiveSupplier Relationship Management, ensuring Siemens is a preferred customer

·Independentlyprepare and carry out negotiations with suppliers

·Knowsthe cost structure of his/her commodity in detail and identifies improvementpotentials;

·Providesreliable and precise cost calculations/comparisons behind supplier offers

·Harnesssupplier innovation in collaboration with CVE and NPD

·Workalongside CVE in order to better understand key material cost drivers

Desired Skills:

·Graduate in Electrical / Automation / Electrical / Communication /Railway / Informatics Engineering

·Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

·You should have 10-12 years’ experience in a Buyer position withina Procurement function preferably for Traction Business.

·You should have Procurement experience in Railways/ Metro Segments

·Should have experience in Transformers, Switchgears, cables,handling Cabinets, Busbars, Fabricated parts, Machined components, sheet metalparts, Insulation material etc.

·Knowledge of purchasing fundamentals including RFQ's andNegotiation

·Strong strategic mindset

·Ability to build positive relationships with internal and externalstakeholders is important

·Proactive with the ability to influence and challenge the statusquo

·Ability to drive performance improvements

·Great teamwork and collaboration

·Self-motivated, highly driven and results focused

·Ability to be innovative in issues related to strategic sourcing,vendor relations, quality assurance and supply
