Primary Responsibilities:
Investigate, analyze, and make appropriate recommendations regarding complex employee relations issues filed internally, exercise influence appropriatelyProvide sound advice and support including challenging/making informed decisions in line with the organization’s policy and practice, employment legislation and internal or external governance that minimizes business and reputational risk whilst driving commercial efficienciesEstablish, monitor, and report on standard operation ER metrics including the development of service levels agreements and their adherenceEnsure all investigations in the region are completed in time and outcome or sanctions are effectively communicated to all stakeholders within the defined timelines or SLAsActively support the Legal Services Team and management on cases going to Employment TribunalSupport ERQM team with implementation of varied projects within the ER Transformation, Governance and Continuous Process Improvement Agenda, as per APAC ER Strategy roadmap for respective regionWork seamlessly and collaboratively with the centers of excellence and business to ensure that the service is meeting expectationsIdentify key issues emerging from the case trends and provide insight to the relevant stakeholders including business, COEsDevelop and present reports briefings on key ER related issuesAct as a trusted advisor for leadership to provide them ER related adviceDrive solutions through interventions and changes basis trends to limit future issues that may emerge in the immediate, intermediate or long-term time horizonsDeveloping and executing a multiyear road map for ER People Management Lead and direct team to resolve complex and sensitive employment issues or queries in line with Organizational procedures, conditions of service, current employment law and established best practiceEnsure current processes are improved and the team has the capability to deliver specialized subject matterTo play an active role in providing support, training, guidance, and development of staff in the ER Team - aim to develop a body of knowledge in the teamAct as a point of escalation for the team and customers ensuring effective handling and resolution of issues related to all aspects of people management within the team and focus on fostering an environment where employees are engaged to do their workReview individual performance and ensure team members meet their specific objectives and then they have the right capabilityManage and take accountability for productivity levels and balanced business scorecard measuresEnsure a consistent and progressive approach is adopted to performance management Risk Establish and own a governance structure for identifying and managing risk and for defining and approving an appropriate risk appetite for the ER functionIdentification of threats, opportunities and drivers for change and accordingly propose commercially viable solutionsDocumentation of standard operating procedures which include relevant controls to meet local policy requirementsMitigating or highlighting risks for the region to leadership appropriately Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Graduate degree from a reputed college with a Postgraduate, MBA or PGDBM or PM-IR12 - 16 years of specialized Employee relations or HR Generalist experience, including the support of a full range of personnel activities is desirable. Quality exposure to ER best practices with experience of working in an international companyExposure to technologies like People Soft, SAP as well as solid experience and expertise in working on Excel, PowerPoint, and other CRM tools to manage various data needsUnderstanding of current employment lawProven ability of quickly building relationships and gaining credibility with Managers or Peer groupsProven solid competence in Case Management, conducting Investigations and ER AnalyticsProven solid analytical ability of mind (root cause analysis) and proven ability to identify or resolve people issues and extract strategic insights from large data setsProven excellent ability to balance multiple or conflicting priorities with a strong history of quickly gaining credibilityPreferred Qualification:
