Job Overview
As the Audience Outreach Sales Lead for TEDxGateway and EDGE, you will be at the forefront of engaging corporate leaders and top-tier professionals, helping them connect with the impactful experiences TEDxGateway and EDGE offers. You’ll leverage your communication and leadership skills to bring innovative ideas to life while building a network of key attendees for our events. This role demands a combination of excellent sales acumen, relationship-building expertise, and creativity to communicate the unique value of our events while ensuring long-term growth and attendee retention.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Qualifying Leads: Assess the potential of generated leads by gathering detailed information about their needs, budget, decision-making authority, and timeline, ensuring alignment with event goals.
  • Sales Presentations and Demonstrations: Conduct dynamic sales presentations and product demonstrations, showcasing the value of our events while engaging with prospective customers. Provide relevant and persuasive information to spark interest.
  • Relationship Building: Focus on nurturing relationships with potential attendees and sponsors by establishing rapport, addressing concerns, and maintaining consistent and meaningful communication.
  • Sales Negotiation and Closing: Engage in strategic negotiations to reach mutually beneficial agreements, discussing pricing, terms, and conditions to effectively close deals.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Maintain an organized CRM system to manage relationships with current and potential attendees, ensuring smooth coordination for future events.
  • Sales Reporting and Follow-up: Keep meticulous records of sales activities, regularly updating the sales team on pipeline status and progress. Provide detailed reports to ensure transparency.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to adapt outreach strategies, keeping TEDxGateway and EDGE ahead of the curve.
  • Networking and Audience Expansion: Strategically identify and establish connections with potential attendees from diverse corporate houses, building a robust network to increase event participation.
  • Value Proposition Communication: Clearly articulate and present the unique value proposition of TEDxGateway and EDGE, persuading target audiences of the benefits of attending.
  • Innovative Engagement: Design and execute creative communication campaigns that increase engagement and enthusiasm among attendees leading up to the event.
  • Executive Level Communication: Persuade and interact with senior leaders within organizations, encouraging their participation and involvement in TEDxGateway and EDGE events.

 

What We Seek:

  • A Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, event management, or hospitality, providing a strong foundation for the role.
  • Exceptional communication and marketing skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences, influencing and building long-term relationships.
  • 3+ years of experience in audience engagement, event management, or sales, demonstrating proficiency and industry knowledge.
  • Proven project management expertise to efficiently plan and execute event-related activities and campaigns.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate teams, ensuring collective success.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple stakeholders and tasks, maintaining an efficient and goal-oriented approach.
