Job Description

AWS Consultant is responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions using AWS, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and meet client needs. They set up and manage these systems, optimize performance, and reduce costs. Additionally, they provide support and guidance to clients, handle security and compliance, and keep systems up to date with the latest AWS features. They also educate client teams on AWS solutions and manage project resources and timelines to ensure successful implementation.

About the role :

Ensures the architecture is communicated, understood and adhered to by the project team. Works on multiple projects and manages time effectively, proactively assessing risk and dependencies Partners with peer architects on large projects to provide ongoing architecture oversight throughout the development lifecycle, after the overall architecture has been developed and communicated. Evaluates and recommends emerging trends in software design and development strategies and evaluate their use in the development environment. Evaluates and makes recommendations for buy versus build decisions. Ensures consistency with architectural standards for assigned projects. Provides and/or collaborates on design recommendations, application development constructs and integration solutions. Writes design specifications and other technical documentation Demonstrates design and technology approaches via prototypes Acts as an expert for a specific technology domain. May have a small team of technical specialists to coach and/or manage. Troubleshoots and resolves a variety of complex problems and technical issues taking a holistic and preventive perspective across systems and technologies.

About You :

Technical lead or part of technical team in project planning sessions with senior clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze development requirements and provides design recommendations for complex systems. Supports and champions technical change initiatives. Identifies technical risks and supports mitigation. Communicates solutions, technical designs through formal and informal means to business unit executives, technology management, peers and development staff, and other colleagues. Partners with project manager(s) to incorporate technical dimension to project status reports and communicates timely and accurate status information to project leaders. Collaborates in setting development guidelines. Reviews technical designs to ensure compliance to standards
