  • Check thetaste temperature and visual appeal of food items prepared toensure that the quality and portion are consistent and as perspecifications set out.
  • Ensure that allequipment and perishable items are stored in its designated placeand is done in the most hygienic manner
  • Preventthe use of contaminated products in any phase of food preparationand prevent colleagues who are ill or suffering from an infectionfrom taking part in the preparation or handling offood
  • Suggest new recipe/products which mayimprove quality of food or lower foodcost
  • Check the maintenance of all kitchenequipment
  • Ensure that all safety healthsecurity and loss control policies and procedures and Governmentlegislation are adheredto
