Events Manager

- Manage all incoming leads for thebooking of guest rooms and/or meeting/cateringfunctions.
- Develop lead sources throughprospecting referrals trace files and coldcalls.
- Exceed personal sales goals monthlyquarterly annually through account development andmaintenance.
- Conduct site inspections withprospective and existing clients.
- Develop andimplement new sales strategies tactics and action plans for accountbase.
- Quote and negotiate prices withinestablished parameters with potential and existing clients. Preparecontracts for clients.
- Manage events from thebeginning to the end process all the information pertaining tobookings (to include but not limitedto):
- Electrical internet telecom audiovisual andexhibit requirements
- Obtain guarantees of foodand beverage events from Banquets andkitchen
- Prepare creative menu proposals withthe Chef while keeping in mind food cost labor cost and kitchenfacilities.
- Maintain andupdate current account informationrecords.
- Ensure rooming list is received 30days prior to arrival with updated billinginstructions.
- Ensure that deposits/cancellationfees where applicable are forwarded to the Accountingdepartment.
- Disseminate event information tothe appropriate departments via memos emails banquet event ordersdirectives and rooming lists in a professional and timelymanner.
- Conduct daily meeting to review eventcontracts to ensure last minute changes are communicatedaccordingly.
- Conduct preconference meetings toensure that key departments are fully aware of relevantdetails.
- Maintain visibility throughout eventsand be the onsite client liaison.
- Follow uppostevent to address any issues whilst soliciting returnbusiness.
- Establish good business and socialrelationships within the industry and participate in PR activitiesto increase sales leads for the Hotel.
- Prepareweekly monthly quarterly and annual reports asrequired.
Qualifications:
- Diploma inTourism / Hospitality Management / EventsManagement.
- Minimum 3 years of experience ingroup catering and conference sales or 1 year of experience in asimilar capacity with proven trackrecord.
- Excellent reading writing and oralproficiency in Thai and Englishlanguage.
- Proficient in MS Excel Word &PowerPoint.
