- JOBPURPOSE
Responsiblefor assisting the Head Concierge with managing and coordinating thespecial needs of all guests in the hotel. Any special request aguest makes so long as it is not illegal or immoral will befulfilled to the best of the Concierge ability. If guest requestcannot be met the Concierge must suggest and provide suitablealternatives. A Concierge must have a strong and extensiveknowledge of the local area and of the resources available forguests. In addition a Concierge must always exercise sound judgmentwhen acting on both the guests and the hotelsbehalf.
PeopleManagement
- Maintainsdepartment organization manning and productivity ensuring a smoothoperation based on forecasted occupancy.
- TrainBell men for luggage delivery and guestbehavior.
- Supervises and guides team of Bellmen to ensure that hotels policies and procedures are adheredto.
- Creates a positive and highly motivatedworking environment that promotes and developsteamwork.
- Regularly updates HeadConcierge about challenges in workflow.
- Give feedback to Head Concierge on theperformance of teammembers.
GuestLoyalty
- Promptly andactively obtains feedback from guests and inform the relevantdepartments the actions taken to rectify the feedback and to ensureguests satisfaction.
- Maintains and enforces allquality standards and procedures on guest arrival &departure.
- Ensures that all guestsare welcomed and offered assistance with luggage onarrival.
- Ensures that fond farewell is extendedto guests on departure.
- Ensures that luggagedelivery and pick up is as perstandard.
- Achieves guest delight throughfriendly and proficient services at Concierge operations and ensurerepeat business through personalized efficientservices.
- Must have complete knowledge of thecity for assist guest with differentrequests.
- Enable decision making at guestcontact point to ensure guestloyalty.
Operational
- Handleall guest requests quickly and efficiently.
- Isfully aware of all the activities taking place in the hotel e.g.functions VIP/group arrivals anddepartures.
- Ensure that luggagedelivery and collection service is efficient andsmooth.
- Is responsible for receiptstorage and shipment of luggage and packages forguest.
- Arranges for outside errandsfor guests such as pickup/delivery of packages passport formalitiesand revalidation of airtickets.
- Arrangestransportation for guests on arrival anddeparture.
- Ensures drivewayorderliness and manages the flow of traffic in thedriveway.
- Ensures that all equipmentis properly cleaned and maintained.
- Ensure thatcity knowledge is updated.
- Ensure and check allequipments in Front Office Department are in workingcondition.
- Randomly checks hotel limousine forstandard.
- Liaison with Events for requirementof Valet for major functions.
- Liaison withtransport vendor for requirement ofcars.
Administration
- Managesthe budget and forecast ofTransportation.
- Reviews and manages monthlyTransportation expense and revenue
- Maintainsthe record of guest transport usage ensure that all transport usageis recorded.
- Performs all other job assigned bythe Management.
- Review service efficiency ofluggage delivery with Head Concierge and assist inpreparing action plan for improvement ifneeded.
