Primary Responsibilities:

Handling escalated tickets from Desktop engineer - Level 1Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware, software, and peripherals for end-usersRespond to support tickets and service requests in a timely and efficient manner, providing effective solutionsDiagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheralsCollaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of desktop systems with the overall IT infrastructureMaintain inventory records of desktop equipment and ensure timely procurement of new hardware and softwarePerform regular maintenance and updates on desktop systems to ensure optimal performance and securityAssist in the implementation of IT policies and security measures to safeguard desktop systems and dataProvide end-user training on hardware and software usage to enhance their productivity and technical skillsDocument technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles for future referenceStay informed about the latest trends and advancements in desktop technologies to improve support servicesComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of experience working in a desktop support roleExperience as a Desktop Engineer or in a similar technical support roleSolid knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, Linux and macOS) and standard software applicationsProficiency in hardware troubleshooting and problem-solving for desktop-related issuesFamiliarity with network connectivity and basic understanding of IT infrastructure componentsProven excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with end-users in a friendly and professional mannerProven to possess positive energy, be motivated, and eager to learnProven to be a proactive and customer-focused approach to delivering high-quality support servicesProven ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyProven ability to communicate effectively with users via face to face, phone, email or through an online chat platform to respond to their inquiries

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related experienceMicrosoft Certification professional, CCNA

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 30lbsMust be able to talk, listen, speak, and view electronic equipment

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for an office environmentWork requires weekend and/or evening workWork may require occasional night shiftTravel is primarily local during the business day
