The IIoT Engineer typically hails from anElectrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) background and anextensive knowledge of communication protocols messaging systemsembedded Linux and device management.

Relationships:Reports to Software Project Manager orEngineering manager.

EssentialResponsibilities and Duties

Buildsprototypes products and systems suitable for testing and sets upand runs labsimulations.

Developsand maintains high quality software for Edge Computing and PublicCloud hostedapplications.

Followbest practices of Agile software development andDevSecOps.

Fielddeployment support for EdgeApplications.

Stayscurrent with the cutting edge in IoT relatedtechnologies.

Sharesexpertise throughout the organization and may provide user trainingforproducts.

Evaluatesengineering approaches and risks to produce development plans thatensure high quality low cost products andsystems.

Mayauthor technical reports papers articles patents andpresentations.

Qualifications

B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech

TotalExperience 5years

Skills andknowledgeCompetencies/Experience/knowledge/skills

Experiencewith IoT architecture andsystems.

Experiencewith C C# and Python programming; Javascript Angular (RxJS) andDocker.

Experiencewith one or more IoT related technologies such as PubSub MQTTRabbitMQ orsimilar.

Experiencein industrial acquisition protocols (Modbus OPCUAetc.)

Experiencewith security frameworks forIoT.

Experienceautomating tasks on Linux Shellscripting.

Experiencewith agile practices writing user stories unit testing azurepipelines git repo on azure and GitFlow.

Experiencein deploying web applications to any of the major cloud providersAWS Azure orGCP.

Experiencewith device provisioning commissioning and remote device managementlayers in the context ofIIoT.

Generalcompetency in networking technologies will be veryuseful.

Anyexperience with embeded prototyping such as Raspberry Pi Arduinoetc will be aplus.

Anyexperience with Redis database will be aplus.

Anyexperience with Azure IoT service will be aplus.

Anyexperience with NI LabView would be aplus.

Familiaritywith cloud and web technologies is highly desirable (cloud Shelland restAPIs)
