Job Description

Position Overview: L4B Software is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with 5-7+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in MCAL, CDD integration, and AUTOSAR-based ECUs. The candidate should be proficient in working with Vector stack & BSW and have experience with diagnostics and communication protocols. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive technical excellence and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development and Integration:
    • Design, develop, and integrate software modules for MCAL, CDD, and AUTOSAR-based ECUs.
    • Implement software components using Vector stack and BSW to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
    • Develop high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to industry best practices and standards.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Lead the design and architecture discussions for software projects.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, system architects, and project managers, to define software requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
    • Participate in project planning, estimation, and risk management activities.
  • Diagnostics and Communication Protocols:
    • Implement and manage diagnostics and communication protocols, including CAN, Ethernet, and Flexray.
    • Develop diagnostic services and tools for efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Ensure software quality through rigorous testing, validation, and verification processes.
    • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for software design, development, and testing processes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
    • Proactively identify areas for improvement in software development processes and implement necessary changes.


Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in software development and integration, particularly in automotive or embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in MCAL and CDD integration.
  • Extensive experience with HPC and AUTOSAR-based ECUs.
  • Expertise in Vector stack & BSW.
  • In-depth knowledge of diagnostics and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, Flexray).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools.

Requirements
