We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Credit Risk to join our GLOBAL CORPORATE CREDIT team. This role is located in Pune, MH– Hybrid.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- By writing strong credit proposals, preparing and/or reviewing analyses of creditworthiness of a diverse array of large institutional corporate borrowers/counterparties, and financings such as syndicated loans and markets credit transactions.
- Monitoring of portfolio may involve recommendations on re-ratings of internal borrower credit ratings, reviewing financial statements, earnings reports, rating agency/analyst/industry reports.
- Collaborating closely with functional manager(s), senior credit relationship managers, as well as different teams in the organization to submit credit proposals within the agreed timelines
- Helping to identify existing and emerging risks that are applicable to the assigned credit risk portfolio given industry trends, economic conditions, current events, etc.
- Maintain BNY internal control standards. Understand and comply with all relevant policies, guidelines, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirement as issued by the organization.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Master’s degree in finance or equivalent / Chartered Accountancy plus International CFA / FRM.
- Proven experience in credit risk assessment / credit underwriting with credit rating agency or captive units of large multinational banks / third-party service providers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to write in a concise manner.
- Ability to complete deliverables with minimal or no supervision.
- Knowledge and ability to assess credit products, credit terms & conditions and credit documentation, including financial covenants, security, and collateral.
- Experience in using market data tools and external resources like S&P Capital IQ, SNL, Bloomberg, Moody’s, and Credit Sights.
- Experience in credit rating and methodologies, basic knowledge of fiscal and financial condition indicators are preferred.
