Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Mainframe Operation Support
In this role, you will be responsible for crafting clean, functional code that flawlessly suits the needs of the company Your main focus will be coding and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests To support Engineer using Agile Methodology and should have an end to end understanding of business use cases, to transform them into an effective and strategic solution Work with business people to have a real time problem and, craft the solution which really fits into client needs.

Responsibilities
• Experience in Cobol, DB2, JCL and VSAM, CICS.
• Engage with product and technology partners to understand existing system flows to identify where changes are required to meet the business needs.
• Provide estimates on new initiatives/projects.
• Excellent teamwork, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills are essential, ability to solve complex problems in a numerical/analytical environment.
• Application Support/development experience in Design, coding, testing, and debugging with mainframe skills such as CICS, VSAM, COBOL, DB2, JCL, ISPF/TSO, Zeke, File Aid, Change man, Abend Aid
• Programming, conduct code reviews, and test software as needed, ensuring quality of deliverables.
• Level 2/1 support for production issues
• Assist in Documentation - KEDB - Recovery & Resolution procedures.
• Analyze business functions and data discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with global team members and business users at all levels.
• Provide Subject Matter Expert level knowledge to drive technology solution development and integration across the SDLC including requirements, functional specs, design, custom development, integration, testing, and deployment.
• On-call responsibility on a rotation basis is required once the candidate is up to speed.

• Flexible to work in Maintenance/Support Development Projects
• Execute various forms of testing – unit, system, regression, integration, performance, volume.
• Manages all aspects of implementation planning & coordination.
• Develops detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implement, and stabilize phases of the project.
• Experience in code management and versioning methodologies.
• Performs database/ disaster recovery planning for multiple systems.
• Experience in IBM utilities/SORT. 
• Assists with vendor negotiations.
• Facilitates complex group meetings (including business partners) for technical design, decision making, problem solving, implementation and strategic planning.

Shift requirement:
• Flexible to work in morning/afternoon/evening/night shifts on a rotation basis- as the candidate may have to work with global teams in different time zones.

• B.Tech/B.E/ MCA

• Good to have knowledge of Production support activities (added advantage)
• Ability to analyze data.
• The ability to communicate, friendly and cultural behavior during customer contact.
• Strong customer focus
• Willingness and ability to multi-task.
• Willingness to learn the Product/Platform and associated technologies.
• Ability to be learn and apply new processes and tools.
• Technical understanding of products/services and/or ecosystem being supported.
