The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, responsible for managing reception duties while assisting with insurance claims and ensuring a smooth billing process for cashless transactions. The role demands excellent communication skills, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to handle sensitive patient data with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:- Front Desk Management:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Handle patient registrations, appointment scheduling, and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Mediclaim & Cashless Insurance Processing:
- Assist patients in completing mediclaim forms and ensure all required documentation is submitted for insurance processing.
- Coordinate with patients and insurance companies to facilitate cashless treatment approvals.
- Verify insurance policies, coverage, and pre-authorization requirements before treatment is provided.
- Communicate effectively with the hospital billing department and insurance companies to track the status of claims.
- Handle any insurance-related queries from patients and provide accurate information on claim procedures.
- Billing Support:
- Assist with the preparation of patient bills, ensuring all services, treatments, and procedures are accurately documented.
- Process payments, manage cash, and issue receipts.
- Support the billing team with any documentation needed for cashless transactions and ensure timely submission of claims.
- Records and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate patient records, including insurance documentation and claims.
- Update and organize all patient data in the hospital management system, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- General Administrative Support:
- Answer and manage incoming calls, provide information or redirect calls as necessary.
- Support the hospitals administrative team with any other clerical duties as needed.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Receptionist or Front Desk Executive in a hospital or healthcare setting, with hands-on experience in mediclaim and cashless insurance processing.
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in hospital administration or related fields are a plus.
- Skills:
- Familiarity with mediclaim processes, insurance policy verification, and cashless billing procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office and hospital management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Gujarati, Hindi, and English is essential.
- Experience with a multi-speciality hospital setup.
- Knowledge of TPA (Third Party Administrator) insurance processes.
