JobDescriptions
Supervisesthe activities of subordinates. Ensure Profitability of thecenter.
Overseesdaily center operations and coordinates center activities throughassigned staff; prioritizes and delegates workactivities.
Preparesand monitors budget for the Center and research executive orstudent educationprojects.
Preparesbudget proposals and recommendations and establishes budget controlsystem for controlling expenditures; controls expenditures inaccordance with budget allocations; recommends equipment andresources for thecenter.
Preparesperiodic reports financial statements and records on centerprojects progress status or other special reports for management oroutsideagencies.
Designsdevelops and recommends new programs projects and activitiesrelating to research executive or studenteducation.
Developsand schedules research executive or student education in accordancewith universitys goals objectives and fundinglimitations.
Directsmonitors and participates in research activities including datacollection evaluation and analysis for a researchproject.
Preparesor assists in the preparation of proposals for funding of new orcontinuousprojects.
Evaluatescenter activities for effectiveness to develop improved methods;devises evaluation methodology and implements; analyzes results andrecommends and/or takes appropriateaction.
Reviewsapplications or other center documents to determine acceptance ormake decisions pertaining to thecenter.
Maintainsdirect contact with personnel of various outside organizations anduniversity departments associated with centerprojects.
Conferswith and advises staff students and others to provide technicaladvice problem solving assistance answers to questions and centergoals and policy interpretations; refers to appropriate departmentor person when unable torespond.
Booksand schedules facility and services for center projects/events;negotiates and prepares rental contract determining fees and termsof contract; estimates costs and determines project/eventbudgets.

Servesas center representative during projects by responding to andresolving emergency situations and ensures all aspects ofprojects/events are implemented and controlled according toplans.

Providesassistance and information to faculty staff and outsideorganizations regarding center research and projects; maintainscontact via telephone or writtencorrespondence.

Recruitscenter participants and members utilizing most appropriatepromotional or marketing methods such as individual lettersbrochures or presentations atmeetings.

RequirementsRepresentscenter in public relations/liaison capacity on matters relating tothe centers research andprojects.
Profileof a desirablecandidate
Shouldhave strong marketingskills.
Knownetworking online andoffline.
Builda strongrelationship.
