ABOUT THE TEAM

The RealPage Investment Management group is hiring a Sr Business Analyst to join our Product Management team delivering best in class SaaS solutions to the real estate industry. You will work alongside team members in Product Management, Engineering, Implementations, Customer Success and other stakeholders to define and execute on the product roadmap.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Investment Management Sr Business Analyst matrixes to the Product Manager with the primary responsibilities of translating the Product Manager’s vision for the product into workable requirements, validating and reviewing system changes with stakeholders, and working closely with the Development and QA teams throughout sprint planning and daily calls to ensure successful execution of initiatives. You will be responsible for the initial requirements gathering and documentation, refinement sessions, management of development / issues backlog, and creation of user stories and acceptance criteria.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive requirements gathering activities, including measurable benefits and value-added outcomes in all the following: Develop concepts of reports, analytics and visualizations development, using DAX, SQL, tuning, data models and semantic models. Define business cases and Create business requirements documentsTranslate product management strategies into features, user stories and acceptance criteriaWhere applicable create wireframes and mockups Be the “voice of the customer” to the technical teams Present requirements to technical teams to evaluate feasibility and determine levels of effortPresent requirements to stakeholders for review and sign-off Create release notes for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and technical team Work with the Product Manager to establish release goals as part of quarterly Roadmap and PI Planning, managing the backlog Drive projects and track milestone dates, delivering project updates to leadership Drive problem management escalation issues to resolution Meet service level agreement (SLA) for escalated to development ticketsPerform triage and issue investigationPartner with Problem Management to investigate client issue reports Experience with TFS, Jira, or similar software Maintain tickets and agile boardsParticipate in backlog refinement activitiesTrack team performance metrics Be accessible to the technical teams, reviewing work and answering questions Formally review stories for acceptance, including meeting the customer benefit, acceptance criteria and desired level of quality  Participate and/or present in release demos. Keep meeting notes and follow up on action items.

  REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Must have 4-7 years of experience working in a Business Analyst role on a SaaS Product team focused on financial services, capital markets, or similar sectors and actively scoping: User workflowsWireframes & prototypesAPIs Infrastructure & Application Integration (REST)Data visualization for productized analytics offerings SQL - preferably MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL Advanced MS Excel skills Experience in visualization tools applicable Microsoft PowerBITableau Demonstrated knowledge of financial data management, cross-product API integrations, and design of analytics-based SaaS products Is eager for a challenge Has excellent written and verbal communication skills Is a proactive go-getter who believes in project ownership Previous experience working in an agile environment and using recognized development methodologies (e.g., Agile, SCRUM, KANBAN)

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is preferred Experience in finance, fintech, and/or held a quantitative role that required research & financial risk/scenario modeling Previous experience working with project management and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Confluence, Salesforce, Azure TFS) is a plus.  Knowledge and experience in Real Estate solutions such as a property management system, asset management system, BI or analytics system is preferred but not a requirement Basic to Intermediate Skills on Python
