Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to create tooling components.
- Operate manual and CNC machines to produce tooling parts.
- Conduct measurements and inspections using precision instruments.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop efficient tooling solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing tooling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tool room.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
- Document work activities, including tooling maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in the training and development of junior staff members.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in Tool and Die Making from NTTF/GTTC or CIPET.
- Proven experience as a tool maker in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment.
- Strong knowledge of tooling materials, machining processes, and heat treatment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Precision measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
