RoleWeare seeking a talented Electric Motor Design Engineer to join ourclients team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in electricmotor design and possess strong proficiency in ANSYS SolidWorksAutoCAD and FEA analysis. This individual will play a key role inthe design development and optimization of electric motors forvarious applications leveraging advanced simulation and modelingtechniques to achieve superior performance andefficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Leadthe design and development of electric motors from concept toproduction ensuring compliance with performance efficiency andregulatory requirements.
  • Utilize ANSYSSolidWorks and AutoCAD to create detailed 3D models drawings andsimulations of motor components andassemblies.
  • Conduct finite element analysis(FEA) simulations to evaluate structural thermal andelectromagnetic performance of motor designs optimizing forefficiency and reliability.
  • Performelectromagnetic simulations using ANSYS Maxwell or similar softwareto analyze magnetic field distribution flux density and torquecharacteristics of motor designs.
  • Collaboratewith crossfunctional teams including electrical engineersmechanical engineers and manufacturing specialists to integratemotor designs into larger systems andproducts.
  • Generate technical documentationincluding design specifications reports and test plans tocommunicate design concepts analyses andresults.
  • Participate in design reviewsproviding expertise and recommendations to enhance motorperformance manufacturability andcosteffectiveness.
  • Stay current with industrytrends emerging technologies and best practices in electric motordesign contributing to continuous improvement initiatives withinthe organization.
  • Support prototype builds andtesting activities analyzing performance data and implementingdesign modifications as needed to achieve desiredoutcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and internssharing knowledge and providing guidance on electric motor designprinciples simulation techniques and softwaretools.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelorsdegree in electrical engineering mechanical engineering or relatedfield.
  • 36 years of experience in motor designwith a focus on brushless DC (BLDC) motors permanent magnetsynchronous motors (PMSM) or similartechnologies.
  • Proficiency in ANSYS for FEAanalysis and electromagnetic simulation including Maxwell forelectromagnetic field analysis.
  • Expertise inSolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling drafting and designvalidation.
  • Strong analytical andproblemsolving skills with the ability to interpret simulationresults and optimize motor designs for performance andefficiency.
  • Experience with design optimizationtechniques and methodologies such as topology optimization andparametric studies preferred.
  • Knowledge ofmotor control algorithms power electronics and thermal managementprinciples.
  • Excellent communication skills bothverbal and written with the ability to collaborate effectively in amultidisciplinary teamenvironment.
  • Detailoriented with a focus onquality and accuracy in design work anddocumentation.
  • Selfmotivated and proactive witha passion for innovation and continuous learning in electric motordesign and simulationtechnologies.
