Job Summary:The Dean (Incubation and Innovation) leads the institution sincubation center driving initiatives to promote innovationentrepreneurship and the commercialization of ideas. This roleinvolves developing and managing programs that support startups andemerging ventures collaborating with corporate partners andproviding mentorship to students and entrepreneurs. The Dean willwork to create a vibrant ecosystem that nurtures new ideas andfosters industryconnections.
KeyResponsibilities:
- IncubationCenterManagement:
- Overseethe daytoday operations of the incubation center including themanagement of resources facilities andstaff.
- Develop and implementstrategic plans for the incubation center to achieve its goals andenhance its impact on innovation andentrepreneurship.
- Monitor andevaluate the performance of incubated ventures providing supportand guidance asneeded.
- Designand implement programs and initiatives that support innovation andentrepreneurship including workshops mentorship programs andnetworking events.
- Create and manageaccelerator programs pitch competitions and other activities thatencourage entrepreneurial activity and ideadevelopment.
- Develop and maintain apipeline of innovative projects and startups within the incubationcenter.
- Establishand cultivate relationships with corporate partners industryleaders and investors to provide resources mentorship and fundingopportunities for incubatedventures.
- Collaborate with externalorganizations to facilitate partnerships that enhance the center sofferings and increase itsvisibility.
- Secure sponsorshipsgrants and other funding sources to support the incubation centerand itsprograms.
- Providementorship and guidance to students entrepreneurs and startupshelping them navigate the challenges of starting and growing abusiness.
- Facilitate access toexpertise resources and networks that can aid in the developmentand commercialization of newideas.
- Organize and lead trainingsessions seminars and workshops on topics related to innovationentrepreneurship and businessdevelopment.
- Developand execute strategic plans to enhance the incubation center s rolein fostering innovation and entrepreneurship within the institutionand the broader community.
- Assesstrends and opportunities in the innovation landscape to informprogram development and strategicinitiatives.
- Report on the center sperformance achievements and impact to internal and externalstakeholders.
- Fostera culture of innovation within the institution and the localcommunity by organizing events networking opportunities andcollaborative projects.
- Engage withalumni local entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to build asupportive innovationecosystem.
- Promote the successes ofincubated ventures and highlight the impact of the incubationcenter sactivities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or higher in Business Administration Innovation ManagementEntrepreneurship or a relatedfield.
- Proven experience in managingincubation centers accelerators or similar innovationfocusedprograms.
- Strong background inentrepreneurship business development or startupmentoring.
- Excellent communicationleadership and networkingskills.
- Ability to build andmaintain relationships with corporate partners investors andindustry leaders.
- Experience insecuring funding and managing budgets for innovationprograms.
PreferredSkills:
- Experiencein a leadership or senior management role within an innovation orentrepreneurial ecosystem.
- Knowledgeof startup ecosystems venture capital and commercializationstrategies.
- Familiarity with legaland regulatory considerations related to startups andinnovation.
WorkEnvironment:
- Therole may involve occasional evening or weekend work to attendevents or meet with partners andentrepreneurs.
- Travel may berequired for meetings conferences or industryengagements.

Qualifications: Education:Master s degree in business administration, Human Resources,Education, or a related field. Doctorate preferred. Experience:Minimum of 4 years of experience in career services, placement, orrelated fields, with at least 4 years in a leadership or managerialrole.
