OverviewThe role ofUnderwriter in the Collection Process is vital to our organizationssuccess. Underwriters play a crucial role in assessing andevaluating the risk associated with extending credit anddetermining appropriate collectionstrategies.KeyResponsibilities
  • Evaluating creditapplications and determining the riskinvolved
  • Analyzing financial data and creditreports
  • Setting credit limits andterms
  • Assessing collection strategies andrecommending appropriate actions
  • Reviewingpayment history and developing collectionplans
  • Communicating with customers regardingpayment arrangements
  • Collaborating withcollection agencies and legal teams
  • Maintainingaccurate records of collectionactivities
  • Monitoring delinquent accounts andimplementing recovery actions
  • Conducting riskassessments and making credit decisions
  • Stayingupdated on industry regulations and bestpractices
  • Providing recommendations for processimprovements
  • Preparing reports on collectionactivities and performance
  • Participating incredit meetings and discussions
  • Adhering tocompliance and regulatorystandards
RequiredQualifications
  • Bachelors degree inFinance Accounting Business or relatedfield
  • Proven experience as an underwriter or ina similar role
  • Deep understanding of creditrisk assessment and collectionprocesses
  • Proficiency in financial analysis andinterpretation
  • Excellent knowledge of lendingregulations and compliance
  • Strong analyticaland decisionmaking skills
  • Effectivecommunication and negotiationabilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy indata analysis
  • Ability to work well underpressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience withcredit scoring models and software
  • Soundjudgment and problemsolvingcapabilities
  • Proactive approach to riskmanagement
  • Adept at using MS Office andfinancial software
  • Team player with acollaborative mindset
  • Certification in CreditRisk Management is a plus
