Role Purpose:
Technician is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate maintenance of queries related to service line while maintaining compliance with Rio Tinto’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, responsive query handling, and a continuous focus on quality control and improvement.
Key Accountabilities:
• Efficient and accurate processing of service line queries within the given SLA
• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, clients, team members, seniors to address queries efficiently and effectively
• Follows established processes and controls to maintain accuracy and integrity of service line
• Ensures compliance with Rio Tinto policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines
• Takes responsibility for personal growth and development in the field by participating in training programs and seeking learning opportunities to expand knowledge and skills
Functional Area: Supply Chain & Procurement
Supply Chain and Procurement encompasses the strategy, planning and management of all activities involved with the procurement of goods and services. It encompasses the end-to-end integration of strategy, category management and enablers such as emerging markets and sustainable procurement. Typical activities include requisition policy, sourcing, logistics, warehousing and distribution, and ongoing contract management. It requires coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders, which can be suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers.

Job Family Description: Procurement services enable the provision of services and goods to Product Groups and category/ service delivery teams. This encompasses: quality assurance and control; tactical and spot sourcing; purchase to pay; expense management; process design and improvement, master data and analytics.

Technical knowledge and insight of practical methods, techniques and work processes gained through technical training and significant work experience. Works with a limited degree of supervision and work is governed by standardized work routines that permit the use of initiative, and typically has an impact through the provision of activities that require technical understanding. Can coordinate work of others, but not a formal supervisor.
