Your Role

Job description

Assist & lead all tasks defined by senior buyers in team in cohesive manner.Take responsibility of procurement of direct material from local and overseas.Active participation in new supplier development activities.Purchase to pay process owner. (sending enquiries, offer evaluation, negotiation, order placement, follow up, visits to vendor, resolving receipt issues & payment to vendors in time)Active lead in standardize terms and conditions, frame agreements, external/internal audits, setting up processes, making SOPs.Negotiate for best prices, best delivery to meet pre-post and delivery targets.Prepare various sourcing dashboards and apps.Support Vendor evaluation, rating, development, quality improvement with zero defect initiative from SHEQ point of view and monitoring them as per group requirement.Have clear and collaborative interaction with all department to ensure highly efficient and effective operations to meet revenue and profit targets.Frequently visiting vendor end to follow up and to expedite ongoing jobs, process enhancement.To support for sales function for Prebid sales to get offers from vendors and to negotiate best possible extentSupporting monthly reporting activitiesTo participate and contribute sourcing side in various meetings like Project Review Meetings, Toolbox Talk Meetings etcAll other tasks defined by sourcing manager as per business needs.Support audit preparations (External as well internal) till punch point closureLead common sourcing activities till logical conclusionAssist team leaders in creating vendor dashboards, digitalization drives, monthly reporting activities, BPR and all other reporting/compliancesDevelop various formats to monitor progressSupport and improve use of Jagger tool to communicate with vendorsTo monitor performance of expeditors and to take action on red flags raised by stakeholdersGlobal sourcing from India for plants located outside India.Work as per "The Atlas Copco Way" and " Business code of practice "Responsibilities not limited to mentioned here but as per assigned by head sourcing timely as per changing business need.

 
To succeed, you will need

Experience requirements

Sound technical knowledge about product, procurement, supply chain, commercial and technical acumen to execute tailor-made projects having experience of parts likes castings,fabrication & bought outs like motors,valves, pumps, VMS, PLCs, electronic flow/temperature/pressure instruments, capex/opex requirements.Strong interpersonal communicationExperience desired will be in the range of of 5 to 6 years.

Knowledge

SAP MM and MS office expertise requiredCommercial contract conditions and supply chain knowledgeSound knowledge in new supplier development, manufacturing process, global supply chain, planning and system will be an added advantage.

Educational requirements

University degree in Engineering in any discipline (Mechanical preferred).Be fluent English and other Indian languages.MBA would be added advantage.
