Job Summary: The Poultry Procurement Executive is responsible for managing the procurement of poultry products to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality goods at competitive prices. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier Management:
  • Identify and evaluate potential poultry suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and audits.
  • Ensure suppliers meet quality, safety, and ethical standards.
  1. Procurement Strategy:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for poultry products.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies as needed.
  • Forecast demand and plan procurement activities to meet business needs.
  1. Negotiation and Contract Management:
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve favorable contracts.
  • Manage contract compliance and resolve any disputes or issues with suppliers.
  • Review and renew contracts in accordance with business requirements.
  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that all poultry products meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to address any quality issues.
  • Maintain documentation and records related to product quality and compliance.
  1. Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess stock.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market conditions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
  1. Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with poultry procurement.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations and adjust procurement practices accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in procurement or supply chain management are a plus.
