Position Overview:

The Logistics Manager will oversee and optimize the logistics operations for a manufacturing company, ensuring the seamless flow of goods domestically and internationally. This role requires expertise in managing imports and exports (EXIM), supply chain coordination, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective transportation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Operations:
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials and finished products.
  • Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution strategies to optimize costs and timelines.
  • Negotiate contracts with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport providers.
EXIM Management:
  • Handle end-to-end import/export documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading, Letter of Credit, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices).
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and tariff structures.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers and authorities to resolve clearance issues promptly.
Supply Chain Coordination:
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align logistics plans with business goals.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid production delays.
  • Track and manage inventory levels, including inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods.
Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Stay updated with changes in EXIM regulations and policies, ensuring company adherence.
  • Monitor and address risks related to supply chain disruptions, trade restrictions, or geopolitical issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies for safe handling, storage, and transportation of materials.
Cost Management & Efficiency:
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in transportation, warehousing, and customs duties.
  • Optimize logistics processes and adopt technology-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs like delivery timelines, cost per shipment, and freight accuracy.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and develop skill enhancement programs.


RequirementsRequired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics management, with expertise in EXIM operations.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade agreements.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., SAP, TMS), and MS Office.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze logistics data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of addressing complex supply chain challenges.
