OverviewThe OracleXstore Developer plays a crucial role in developing and maintainingOracle Xstore applications within a retail environment. They areresponsible for implementing and customizing Oracle Xstoresolutions to meet the specific needs of the business ensuringseamless integration with other systems and providing technicalsupport for endusers.KeyResponsibilities
  • Design develop andimplement Oracle Xstore and related retailapplications.
  • Customize and configure OracleXstore solutions based on businessrequirements.
  • Integrate Oracle Xstore withexisting retail systems and thirdpartyapplications.
  • Create and maintain technicaldocumentation for Oracle Xstore solutions andintegrations.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams to understand and address businessneeds.
  • Provide technical support andtroubleshooting for Oracle Xstoreapplications.
  • Participate in system testing andperformance tuning to ensure optimalfunctionality.
  • Stay updated on industry bestpractices and emerging technologies in retail and POSsystems.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensureadherence to coding standards andpractices.
  • Assist in training and mentoringjunior developers and technicalstaff.
  • Participate in the full softwaredevelopment lifecycle from requirement gathering todeployment.
  • Identify and address technical debtand system performance issues.
  • Coordinate withstakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for enhancements ornew features.
  • Ensure compliance with securityand data protection standards.
  • Participate inregular status meetings and provide progress reports on assignedtasks.
RequiredQualifications
  • Bachelors degree inComputer Science Information Technology or relatedfield.
  • 3 years of professional experience indesigning and developing Oracle Xstoresolutions.
  • Proficiency in Java programminglanguage and related frameworks.
  • Extensiveknowledge of retail industry processes and bestpractices.
  • Experience with SQL and PL/SQL fordatabase development and management.
  • Strongunderstanding of XML HTML and JavaScript for webbasedintegrations.
  • Ability to analyze businessrequirements and translate them into technicalsolutions.
  • Excellent problemsolving anddebugging skills for troubleshootingapplications.
  • Experience with version controlsystems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in ateambased collaborative environment.
  • Goodverbal and written communication skills for interacting withstakeholders and endusers.
  • Certification inOracle Xstore or related technologies is aplus.
  • Knowledge of POS hardware and peripheralsis desirable.
  • Experience in performanceoptimization and system scalability in retailenvironments.
  • Strong organizational andtimemanagement skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritieseffectively.

  • Handsonimplementation experience in Oracle XstorePOS
  • Extensiveknowledge of retail POSprocesses
  • Attendingdocumenting and report status during standup calls and escalatingrisks.
