Client is seeking a talentedOracle Database Engineer to join our team at either our Gurgaon orBangalore office. As an Oracle Database Engineer you will play acrucial role in designing developing implementing and maintainingour Oracle database systems to ensure optimal performance andreliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background inOracle database administration and a passion for solving complexdatabase challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Oracle databasesystems including installation configuration and performancetuning.

  • Design and implement database structures schemasand data models to support businessrequirements.

  • Develop and optimize SQL queries storedprocedures and triggers for efficient data retrieval andmanipulation.

  • Implement and enforce database security measuresincluding user authentication authorization and dataencryption.

  • Monitor database performance and capacityutilization proactively identifying and resolving issues tominimize downtime.

  • Plan and execute database backups restores anddisaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity andavailability.

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams totroubleshoot applicationrelated database issues and optimize systemperformance.

  • Stay updated with the latest Oracle databasetechnologies and best practices recommending and implementingimprovements as needed.

  • Document database configurations procedures andtroubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and trainingpurposes.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship tojunior members of the database team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer ScienceInformation Technology or a related field.

  • 58 years of handsonexperience in Oracle database administration anddevelopment.

  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programminglanguages.

  • Solid understanding of Oracle databasearchitecture including RDBMS concepts andfeatures.

  • Experience with Oracle database performancetuning query optimization and index management.

  • Strong knowledge ofdatabase security principles and bestpractices.

  • Familiarity with Oracle tools and utilities suchas Oracle Enterprise Manager and SQL Plus.

  • Excellent troubleshootingand problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze complexdatabase issues.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skillswith the ability to work well in a teamenvironment.

Oracle certification (e.g. Oracle CertifiedProfessional) is a plus.
