Consumer Insights Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager of Consumer Insights to
join our team. As the Manager of Consumer Insights, you will play a crucial role in understanding
consumer behaviour, preferences, and trends to guide our company's strategic decision-making process.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in qualitative and quantitative research, preferably
within a market research firm or worked in industries like FMCG and possess excellent analytical and
communication skills.
This is an individual contributor role.
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct qualitative and quantitative research studies to gather consumer insights and provide
actionable recommendations.
● Design and implement research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and
observational studies, to gather data and analyse consumer behaviour.
● Utilise various data analysis techniques to interpret research findings, identify patterns, and
draw meaningful conclusions.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business units (BUs), product, tech, and sales,
to provide consumer insights that support business objectives.
● Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging consumer behaviours to
ensure our strategies remain relevant and competitive.
● Present research findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, including senior
management, in a clear and concise manner.
● Manage external research agencies and vendors, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards
and deadlines.
● Owning and publishing brand trackers: Design, implement, analyse and publish quarterly brand
tracker studies.
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster a
collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
● Mentor and guide other team members, providing support and sharing best practices to
enhance their professional growth.
● Perform monthly competition benchmarking: Conduct regular and systematic competitive analysis
on a monthly basis. Identify industry trends, assess competitive strengths and weaknesses, and
provide actionable insights to inform business strategies.
● Generate reports and presentations summarising the findings and highlighting opportunities or
threats in the competitive landscape
● Willingness to own responsibility for the planning and end to end execution of various research
projects.
Requirements:
● A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or related fields.
● Master's degree in a relevant field such as market research, consumer behaviour, economics,
psychology, or business administration.
● Proven expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including survey
design, focus groups, in-depth interviews, and data analysis.
● Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from complex data sets and translate
them into actionable recommendations.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills to educate, inform, and mediate across a
number of stakeholders in an organisation with the ability to present research findings to both
technical and non-technical audiences.
● Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple
projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines. Ability to read patterns, and articulate the story

levels of the organisation.
● Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
● Ability to obsess over customers and work independently with minimal supervision.
● Experience in monitoring and conducting competition benchmarking: Regularly track and
benchmark competitors' products, strategies, and market positioning.
● Experience working with multiple stakeholders: The candidate should have a proven track record
of effectively managing relationships and collaborating with various stakeholders across different
departments, such as marketing, sales, product development, and executive leadership. This
includes the ability to understand their needs, provide insights tailored to their specific
requirements, and effectively communicate research findings.
● Experience in running and publishing brand trackers: The candidate should possess experience in
designing, implementing, and analysing brand tracker studies. This involves overseeing the
collection of data on key brand metrics over time, monitoring brand performance, and producing
regular reports or dashboards to track brand health. Familiarity with industry-standard brand
tracking tools and methodologies is highly desirable.
● Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (MS Office suite).
● Comfortable with giving short presentations and reporting data analysis to different audiences
● Excellent analytical skills and experience with research and web analytics tools
● Strong project management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
● Natural curiosity, a can-do attitude and comfort with technology
