Thinking Forks is an R&D solutions partner specializing in Food & Nutrition. We provide end-to-end solutions to our clients, assisting them in developing new product concepts and bringing viable commercial products to market.


Role Description

We are seeking applications from Sensory, Consumer and Technical Insights professionals with min 3-5 years of experience. This role involves leveraging sensory science, consumer insights, and technical data to support product development and enhance consumer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a passion for consumer behavior, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights


Key Responsibilities

·      Design and conduct sensory tests (e.g., descriptive analysis, preference tests, discrimination tests)

·      Develop sensory evaluation protocols and methodologies

·      Conduct QDA panel sessions, analyze sensory data, continuous monitoring of panel performance, conduct panel training and validation

·      Maintain sensory lab and ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards

·      Conduct consumer research studies, including surveys, focus groups, and in-home usage tests

·      Analyze consumer feedback to identify trends, preferences, and areas for improvement

·      Develop and maintain a consumer insights database

·      Integrate technical data (e.g., ingredient functionality, processing parameters) with sensory and consumer insights

·      Provide technical support to Project teams in product development and other sensory/consumer insights based requirements

·      Stay updated on industry trends, scientific advancements, and competitor products

·      Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders

·      Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results

·      Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to execute projects on time in full

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science. Advance degree with specialisation in Consumer & Sensory science, Market Research, or a related field will be preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sensory evaluation, consumer insights, or technical research within the food and beverage industry

Experience with sensory software and statistical analysis tools will be preferred


Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
