JobAccountabilities
Assist thesourcing of critical contracts in alignment with Category Manager& Contracts Managerguidance
a. Develop demandprofile
b. Specify sourcingevents
c. Monitor technical& price evaluation
d.Help Contract Engineer in preparing for negotiation &selection of suppliers for majoritems
e. Ensure & reviewPO generation
2. Understandrequirements for services procurement for the critical items andprovide inputs to Contracts
Manager in defining overall procurementstrategy
a. Align on timelinesand spend planning for the assigneditems
b. Shortlist initialsupplier options and time / spendestimates
c. Oversee preparationof contracts plan
3. ExecuteOrders & CoordinateExpediting
a. Receive purchaserequisitions / expiring contractslist
b. Prepare & releaserequest for Quotation/ Enquiry to the shortlistedvendors
c. Study offers fromvendors and prepare a comparative statement to aid in selection ofvendors
optimization of price andother commercial terms
d. DevelopInternal Cost Estimates
e.Participate in Commercial NegotiationMeetings
f. Negotiate &finalize price for items covered under this role slimits
g. Set up Agreements andSLAs with the finalized vendors
h. Prepare & release the finalPO
i. Implement escalationprocess
j. Maintain coordinationwith inbound logistics and all commercialdepartments
4. Monitor postawardproject contract management
a.Enforce supplier feedback mechanism forimprovement
b. Review contractorfeedback; gather feedback from expediting team andsupplier
5. Manage Change OrderProcess
a. Participate in routineplanning meetings
b. Coordinatesupplier information / confirmation on thechanges
c. Additionally assessand monitor emergency situations and relatedprocurement
6. Manage SupplierRelationships at working Level
a.Manage positive vendor relationships at the workinglevel
b. Engage with vendors on aregular basis to share organizational requirements and understandtheir
constraints
c. Gather feedbackfrom field execution team andsupplier
d. Review the feedbackand send reports to Project Category Manager as well as therespective Contracts
Lead
e. Ensure contractorperformance as per enduser needs and identify improvements andsuggest the same to
ContractManager
f. Uphold ethical valuesin procurement dealings and operations in line with the corporatevalues
7. Use technologyextensively to increase efficiency & controlcosts
a. Use the SAP systemoptimally to drive efficiency and costoptimization
b. Focus on usage oftechnological tools like e auction and reverse auction to improveefficiency and
improvetransparency
