Role Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Administrator with in-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and hands-on experience in cloud security. The ideal candidate will manage our cloud infrastructure, ensure robust security measures, and support our ongoing cloud operations.

Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. 

  • Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines, storage, and networking resources. 

  • Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce cloud security best practices and policies. 

  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, SOC 2). 

  • Manage access controls, and identity management, and ensure data protection and privacy. 

  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats in a timely manner. 

  • Maintaining & preparing records for ISO, SOC 2 certifications.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.

  • Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Monitoring and Troubleshooting.

  • Implement monitoring solutions to track cloud performance and availability. Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues and incidents. 

  • Optimize resource utilization and cost management through continuous monitoring and analysis.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Work closely with development, operations, and other teams to support cloud-based applications and services. 

  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams on cloud-related issues. 

  • Provide details and answers to client security questionnaires.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud administration, preferably with GCP.

  • Proven hands-on experience in cloud security, including implementing security controls and responding to incidents.

  • Proficiency with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery.Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.

  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.

  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.

  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).

  • GCP certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Security Engineer) are highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to manage client security questionnaires and communication+record creation for ISO/SOC2 certifications.

  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with network security, firewalls, and VPNs.
