JobOverview:
TheBusiness Head will be responsible for spearheading the overallbusiness operations and strategic growth of the insurance brokingdivision. This leadership role involves overseeing sales clientmanagement regulatory compliance operations and financialperformance with a clear focus on expansion and marketleadership.
KeyResponsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Formulate and implementstrategic plans to drive business growth in the insurance brokingsector.
- Identify new market opportunities anddevelop strategies to increase market share andprofitability.
- Build and maintain strongrelationships with insurers clients and regulatorybodies.
Sales and BusinessDevelopment:
- Lead the sales team to achieve revenuetargets through new client acquisition and crosssellinginitiatives.
- Develop and enhancerelationships with corporate clients SME clients and individuals togenerate highvalue business.
- Leverageexisting networks and build a robust pipeline of businessopportunities.
Operations andEfficiency:
- Ensure operational excellence by overseeingefficient processes for client onboarding policy management claimshandling and renewals.
- Work closely with thecompliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to regulatoryframeworks and guidelines.
- Implementtechnologydriven solutions to improve service delivery and customerexperience.
TeamLeadership and Development:
- Lead mentor and develop ahighperforming team ensuring they are aligned with the companysstrategic objectives.
- Foster aperformancedriven culture with clear goals accountability andemployee engagement.
Financial and PerformanceManagement:
- Manage P&L responsibilities for thebusiness unit ensuring profitability and costoptimization.
- Set and monitor KPIs forbusiness performance ensuring revenue growth and profitabilitytargets are met.
Regulatory Compliance and RiskManagement:
- Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations andother relevant laws governing insurance broking inIndia.
- Oversee risk management processesincluding client due diligence and internal audits.
Qualifications andSs:
- Bachelors degreein Business Finance Insurance or a related field (MBApreferred).
- 15 years of experience ininsurance industry with at least 5 years in a senior leadershiprole.
- Strong understanding of the Indianinsurance market including regulatory knowledge (IRDAI).
- Proven track record of driving business growth andachieving financial targets.
- Excellentleadership and team management ss with the ability to inspire andlead large teams.
- Strong communicationnegotiation and client management ss.
- yticalmindset with the ability to think strategically and drive.
- Knowledge of technology solutions ininsurance broking is a plus.
