Office 365 Administrator with Security

KeyResponsibilities1.O365 Deployment andConfiguration: Plan implementand manage the deployment of Microsoft Office 365 servicesincluding Exchange Online SharePoint Online OneDrive for BusinessTeams and other related applications.Configure and customize O365 settings to meet the organizationsrequirements and securitystandards.2. User AccountManagement: Create and manageuser accounts groups and distribution lists in Office365. Monitor and enforce security policiesaccess controls and permissions for O365services.3. EmailManagement: Administer andtroubleshoot Exchange Online for emailservices. Configure and manage mail flowantispam settings and emailarchiving.4. Collaboration andCommunication: Support andoptimize the use of Microsoft Teams for effective collaboration andcommunication. Facilitate the integration ofO365 applications to enhance teamwork andproductivity.5. Security andCompliance: Implement andmaintain security measures to protect O365environments. Monitor compliance with dataprotection and regulatoryrequirements.6.Troubleshooting and Support:Address and resolve user issues related to O365applications. Provide technical support forO365 services and assist with incidentresponse.7. Monitoring andReporting: Implementmonitoring solutions to track the performance and availability ofO365 services. Generate and analyze reportson system usage performance andsecurity.8. Upgrades and PatchManagement: Stay informedabout updates patches and new features released byMicrosoft. Plan and execute updates andpatches in coordination with ITpolicies.9. SecurityConfiguration: Configure andmaintain security features within Office 365 including threatprotection data loss prevention (DLP) and encryptionsettings. Implement multifactorauthentication (MFA) and conditional access policies to enhanceaccountsecurity.
10.Incident Response and ThreatManagement: Monitor securityalerts and events within the O365 environment using security toolssuch as Microsoft Defender for Office 365.Investigate security incidents including unauthorized accessattempts phishing attacks and malwareoutbreaks. Respond to security threatspromptly containing and mitigating their impact on O365 servicesand data.11. Compliance andGovernance: Ensure compliancewith industry regulations (e.g. GDPR HIPAA) and organizationalpolicies related to data protection and privacy within Office365. Configure and enforce retentionpolicies eDiscovery and legal hold settings for compliancepurposes.12. Security Auditingand Reporting: Conductregular audits of O365 security configurations and user accesspermissions. Generate reports on securityposture incidents and compliance status for stakeholders andregulatory purposes.13.Collaboration with IT SecurityTeam: Work closely with theIT security team to align O365 security measures with broaderorganizational security policies andinitiatives. Participate in securityassessments penetration testing and vulnerability managementactivities as they pertain toO365.
Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in information technology Computer Science or arelated field. Proven experience as an O365Administrator or similar role. Microsoftcertifications such as MS102 SC200 orequivalent. Strong understanding ofMicrosoft Exchange SharePoint OneDrive andTeams. Knowledge of security best practicesand experience implementing them in an O365environment. Excellent troubleshooting andproblemsolving skills. Effectivecommunication and collaborationskills.
PreferredSkills: Experience withPowerShell scripting for O365administration. Familiarity with thirdpartytools for O365 monitoring and management.Knowledge of identity management and single signon solutions (e.g.Azure AD). Familiarity with compliance anddata governance features in Office365.
