Civil/StructuralEngineer

Beloware Civil/Structural Engineering responsibilities and activitiesthat define expectations for fulfilling this position. Theindividual will work on a variety of different type(s) and size(s)of global capital projects.

Responsibilities/Activities:

  • This position will predominatelyinclude structural design (i.e. Structural Steel ConcreteFoundations Piling Pipe Supports etc.)
  • Assist with the Scope development duringProject Definition Phase
  • Provide overallresponsibility for Code compliance and Structural Steel connectionapproval
  • Provide input to thethreedimensional (SP3D) and (TEKLA) Models
  • Support Civil Construction activities with clarificationand/or technical support
  • Ensure thatenvironmental regulations Safety and Loss Prevention Principles areconsidered in the detailed design

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED

Bachelorof Science/Bachelor of Engineering in Civil/Structural Engineering

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 5 years experience in Civil/StructuralDesign

Required experiences andskills include the following:

  • Strong Teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of detail designleads including other detail design disciplines and personnel fromdiverse cultures.
  • Strong InterpersonalRelationship and Timemanagement skills
  • Strongwritten and oral communication skills
  • Proficient use of Civil Engineering Design tools STAADPRO /Foundation3D/MAT3D/RAM Connection
  • Proficient use of International standards (AISC ACI EUROBS etc.)
  • Retrofit/ Revamp projectexperience.
  • Experiences in detailed designphase of projects

GOALS

ProjectRelated Goals would include:

Design safe and reliable Structural Steel and Foundationsystems that meet project requirements.

Complete detail design of Civil/Structural scope of project ontimeand within budget.

Elimination of allCivil/Structural design errors.

Work well withother Project Team members.
