Job Title: Industry Sales Manager – Geospatial

Location: New Delhi/Gurgaon, India

Job Summary:

The Geospatial division within Trimble Inc is Transforming The Way the World Works with development of next generation technologies that enables surveyors, geodetic engineers, architects and geospatial professionals to increase ease of use and value Geospatial field capture data in land, building, utilities, road & rail, infrastructure workflows.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with strong domain expertise and understanding of Geospatial technology applications in the Construction Engineering industry. This individual will be tasked with directly interfacing with users and decision makers with the intent to build upon Trimble’s expanding Geospatial business in the SAARC region. We are looking for someone who can contribute positively to our regional sales team and help formulate a strong go-to-market strategy to ensure short- and long-term growth. This role will report to the SAARC regional sales manager and is expected to be proactive, capable of managing the complexities and diversity of market conditions and applications, and fosters collaboration between customers, Trimble and our distribution partners.

The X Manager will be responsible for Business Development and Sales across the region. He/she will be the key interface with the customer and would be responsible for building and executing the business plan and carry an aggressive sales target.

Key Responsibilities:

Be accountable for the development and execution of sales plans and the achievement of defined goals within the Geospatial Division. This individual is responsible for providing direction, hands-on coaching and specific guidance to the distribution network also. 

Work directly with the customers and build a sales pipeline across industry segments, with a focus on Construction Engineering, to achieve sales targets.

He/she will showcase Trimble Technology and bridge the requirements of the client with Trimble offerings.

Prepare weekly and monthly sales forecasts and maintain a sales pipeline.

Regional travelling is expected around (50%-75%) for product demonstrations, presentations and participation in events. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Atleast BE/BS degree in a survey/geodetic technical and/or civil engineering, and/or business development field. Post-Graduation in Marketing stream will be an added advantage. In lieu of unrelated academic background, industry experience is also considered. Sales management or technical sales experience in the same field is a plus.

Minimum 8 years of professional experience in the Construction industry. Sales experience is highly desirable, as is experience working with a distribution channel and other types of partnership-driven business development.

Working knowledge of surveying for engineering and land development, 3D laser scanning, structural and deformation monitoring, and other geospatial technologies used in the life cycle of infrastructure. 

Experience developing and maintaining Key Account relationships. You are an ideal fit for this role if you can equally cultivate relationships through technical interactions with users at the same time as building commercial relationships with decision makers in senior management.

Self-motivated, sense of urgency to plan and execute various activities to engage customers on solutions. Consultative by nature

Understands customer and market segmentation.

Proficient knowledge on product and applications, as well as a curiosity and desire to constantly evolve and learn. 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Additional areas of expertise in industries adjacent to construction engineering or linked to Geospatial technology applications is desired. These may include industries such as mining, public safety/law enforcement, GIS and Smart/Intelligent Cities, etc. 

Working knowledge of Trimble Geospatial solutions, in particular 3D laser scanning, robotic total stations, Trimble Business Center software, and Trimble GNSS solutions a plus. Knowledge of competing solutions from non-Trimble competitors is also desired.
