Overview:The SoftwareTesting with Deployment Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuringthe quality and seamless deployment of software applications. Thisrole involves collaborating with development and operations teamsto ensure efficient testing deployment and maintenance of softwaresolutions ultimately contributing to the overall performance andreliability of the organizations products andservices.
RequiredQualifications:1. Understand desiredfunctionality for user story (task on kaban board). Work withoftware manager to fully understand desiredfunctionality.2. Test locally in visualstudio with emulator and real devices (Android and iOS) for pullrequests submitted by developers.a. Ifissues communicate with developer to resolve issuesfoundb. If no issues create video or conductmeeting with Tech to demonstrate functionality on device forapproval.. If not approved communicate withdevelopers to resolve issues foundii. Ifapproved create test release on Google play console and Apple AppStore Connect (Test Flight)iii. Final roundof testing for feature branch1. If issuesfound communicated to test engineer to work with developers tofix2. If no issues found final approval formerging into develop brancha. If mergeconflicts work with developers to resolve mergeconflictsb. If no merge conflicts create newtest release for dev branch for final round of testing beforerelease to end users in production.i.Multiple feature branches could be combined for this testing beforea release to end users.3. Develop automatedtests for mobile application4. Get crashlogging set up for both Google Play and Apple App Store Connect(Test Flight). It is currently using Microsoft App Center which isgoing to be deprecated.a. Monitor crash logsand review list with Tech for priority ofresolutionb. Try to replicate issue ondevice.c. Work with developers to resolvecrash log issues.d. Test resolution toensure proper fix is in placee. Merge fixinto branches for release to end users5.Application currently has email logs sent for any applicationbugs.a. Monitor email logs and review listwith Tech for priority of resolutionb. Tryto replicate issue on device.c. Work withdevelopers to resolve issues.d. Testresolution to ensure proper fix is inplacee. Merge fix into branches for releaseto endusers
