Role/ Job Title:  Lead - ESG

Function/ Department:  Environmental Social and Governance

Job Purpose:

To lead initiatives across the spectrum of Environmental Social and Governance, and support the Head - ESG in strategy and implementation of the Bank's wide-ranging ESG agenda.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Support Head - ESG in development and implementation of the Bank’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. • Drive ESG-related initiatives for employee awareness, together with communications. Strategies and implement calendarized monthly engagement plan on ESG. Oversee the integration of ESG considerations into the bank’s decision-making processes, including lending, investment, and risk management activities. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including risk management, compliance, and investment teams, to ensure ESG considerations are incorporated into their respective functions. Monitor and report on the bank’s ESG performance, including key metrics and targets, to senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders, aligned with mandatory and voluntary standards.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Lead the identification and assessment of ESG risks and opportunities across the bank’s operations and portfolios and identify opportunities for sustainable finance. Stay abreast of emerging ESG trends, regulations, and standards to inform the bank’s strategy and practices. Mentor and develop junior members of the ESG team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Managerial and Leadership Responsibilities:

Mentor and develop junior members of the ESG team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Represent the ESG Team internally among different stakeholders, businesses and functions. This may include representation to internal Committees and Senior Leaders.

Education Qualification: 

Graduation: Any 

Post-graduation: Any 

Experience:  5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
