Job Summary

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Responsibilities:

 

 1)To plan, monitor and execute the container shipments 

  • Visiting Container yards, CFS, Sea warehouses & ICI warehouses to ensure cargo and personal safety.

  •  Coordinate order updates/changes with delivery service teams located at our producing sites and logistics for material movement with concerned stakeholders.

  • Liaise with Freight forwarders for Container Booking.

- tracing of shipments on day to day basis and provide updates to customer till the shipment reaches to  destination and customer takes the delivery.

  • Will be held  responsible coordinating for placing of the trucks with logistics team as per the Schedules given by CS department

  • Ensure the shipment are delivered to customer on promised date and update to concerned stakeholder in case of any delay.

  • Coordinate with Palletisation vendor for arranging pallets in CFS at ports and ensure the packing is export worthy.

  • Maintain all the records of Exports documents, weighments slips, photographs of material loading into containers

  • Assure the container stuffing as per the load plan.

 

2) Vessel loading and shipping document 

  • Preparation of Pre shipment documents and coordinate with CHA and Freight Forwarders for shipment connection

  •  Ensure to provide all the required post shipment documents to customers on time.

3) To support in investigation on feedback/complaints

  • to help in providing all the required information to Investigate and conduct RCA for any feedback and complaints received, follow up for closure for CAPA reported under perimeter (as originating dept or concerned dept)

 

B)  Export / Import permit processing and monitoring for transactions under perimeter (external warehouse)

  • Ensure the EGM are filed in a timely manner and provide the EGM data to the taxation department on quarterly basis along with FOB value for all the Shipping bills.

  • Updation of IEC on yearly basis in coordination with Accounts department

  • Arrange renewal of RCMC on annual basis

C)  Reporting and Data Upkeep in ERP and Google Sheets

  • Updating of OTD sheet and tracing of shipments on day to day basis 

  • Maintaining data related to vendor bills and seeking approvals from department head 

  • updation of reports with inward, outward and Closing stock at external warehouses located at port.

D)  To handle all Procurement activities under perimeter, including ERP entries

  • recording of all the expense related Bulk vessel and container exports ,  port operation charges, agency charges, surveyor charges, transport charges.

  • Provide logistics requirement to purchases department and coordinate with them for contracts finalisation and initiate PR/PO process

  • Generating freight PO’s and GRN’s in ERP (ACCPAC) for Freight Invoices and service providers invoices

  • Vendor bills submission to accounts department and payment follow up with accounts

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education: 

  • Master Degree in EXIM / Bachelor degree in Management / EXIM  with strong practical exposure in EXIM will also be considered.

 

Typical Profile:

  • Sr. Executive Exim 

 

Experience: 

  • 4 years experience

 

Languages:

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English, Hindi and telugu.

 

Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics (Identify skills/attributes required for this position which may include leadership, problem solving, interpersonal, communications, planning, team participation skills, and/or language requirements.)

 

SOFT SKILLS: 

  • Very analytical and rigorous

  • Wants to make an Impact and a positive one (on communities, colleagues)

  • Problem-solving skills.

  • Time management skills.

SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS:

  • Familiar Google Sheet (or at least Excel), Google slide (or at least Powerpoint)

  • Knowledge of Indian customs procedure of Exports of container shipments, shipping documentation, port operations and incoterms.

  • Basic Knowledge on handling letter of credit
